What motivates you?

I enjoy being in a position where I can enjoy the work and can still have fun. Internal gratification by just knowing that I did a great job on a project sets the stage for me to continue working. Of course, recognition from my peers, managers, upper management, as well as both internal and external customers is also nice. Obtaining feedback from internal and external customers also motivates me.

Seeing customers buy the products or receiving messages from customers discussing the product I have created or sold and utilization of the product is great.

Learning new things every day is fun and allows me to come to work with a new perspectives.

Making it easier for someone else to do their job by observing ways to improve processes or products motivates me as well. When the team succeeds in a goal and we have collaborated together to achieve a deliverable date is exciting.

Improving my skills to be better personally and professionally is still exciting. Feeling needed… Teaching someone else what I know by passing a skill along. Supporting others as they do their job. Having the ability to work on multiple projects at once. Performing in multiple roles ---- leader, support person, test person. Money… Knowledge.. My vision. Learning new software. Accepting that not all projects are finished and some are redesigned or canceled.

All of these thoughts, actions, and processes contribute to my well being, and the progression of the team(s) in which I am involved.
